Brief:
design a 32mm stanchion Mag lower with simple mold construction
Challenge:
- one piece design
- make different dropout shapes out of the same mold possible
- increased stiffness of the rear arch section
Result:
- strengthening of areas with highest bending stress (front/rear)
- reduced material laterally
- increased stiffness of the rear arch portion from added triangulated ribs
- at 411g (w/o bushings and seals) more than 40g lighter than its main competitor
- by far the stiffest lower in the market sector
